In this week’s update, I discuss my concerns about some of the legislation that’s been considered by the state House.  These bills – raising the minimum wage to $12 per hour, imposing mandatory paid sick leave on employers with five or more employees – may sound good, but their effects would be very damaging to jobs and the economy.  I believe there are better ways to improve job opportunities and worker well-being than by government mandates.

Thank you for taking the time to read my update, and I hope to see you at one of our town hall meetings this weekend!
