Rep. Chad Magendanz talks with Lars Larson about charter fix

Rep. Chad Magendanz, R-Issaquah, has long championed legislation that would fund charter schools in a way that is acceptable to the state Supreme Court.  After many efforts to provide a 'fix,' lawmakers in the House approved a measure that makes way for funding through the state's Opportunity Pathways account.  It was an arduous vote. House legislators were on the floor for nearly two and a half hours, and the speeches were at times heated and emotional.  In the end, the vote was 58-39.

Magendanz talks with Lars Larson explaining the ins and outs of the vote, and the issues that have surrounded the funding of charter schools.
